Objectives:
The aim is to facilitate the exchange and networking of researchers who conduct research on sustainable groundwater management from a social science perspective. The colloquium was initiated by researchers from the BMBF funding program LURCH. However, interested parties from outside LURCH are also very welcome as active participants. It is planned that current research work will be presented at the colloquium every two months. It will be held in German or English as required.

Past activities:
First meeting on 11.04.2024

The gwTriade, StressRes, WaRM, CHARMANT and IsoGW projects took part in the first meeting on April 11, 2024 on the topic of social science issues in groundwater research. Each project representative explained the respective social science parts of their work. Many common themes were identified, which will be further explored in the following colloquia.

2) Anticipating and shaping transboundary groundwater flows:

Presentation by the junior research group "Regulate":

Content: The research group regulate investigates groundwater in transboundary contexts across hydrological units, infrastructures and administrative systems. It presents examples from its research in Germany, Croatia and Spain in which forms of knowledge, interests and material changes are negotiated in the search for sustainable development.
